Roman Chamomile Essential Oil is one of the oils that herbal benefits carry over well. How many times have you had chamomile tea before bedtime and found that the wonderfully relaxing qualities helped calm your mind and let you drift off to a nice, peaceful sleep? Maybe you haven’t tried it, but you’ve had friends who told you about it. That relaxation is probably what Roman Chamomile Essential Oil is best known for. That and the fact that it’s gentle enough for babies (diffused or diluted properly). Mothers around the world love how this oil can help calm their young ones. Personally, I like it added to my diffuser blend at night when the day has been especially stressful. It’s excellent to use before facing a stressful situation. Sometimes we know, in advance, that something’s going to cause us stress but we can’t avoid it. Meeting with a tough boss? Dental visits? Have to see that ex? Try a little diluted Roman Chamomile on your temples and the back of your neck before you head into stress.
This oil is also great for calming stressed joints and muscles. A blend with it can bring great relief for the occasional muscular aches and pains caused by overexertion from yard work or exercise as well as provide relief for the discomfort that goes with normal wear on joints. Using it diluted, in bath water is a great help, too. I don’t suggest doing this in a jacuzzi.
Abdominal pains often respond to a diluted roman chamomile massage, which is another reason mothers like this essential oil for their babies — and for themselves during menstruation (mixing with marjoram or lemongrass works best for this).
Because of it’s calming, Roman Chamomile Essential Oil is very good at helping to diffuse sadness, loneliness, anger, and anxiety as well as fear. That’s probably why it’s suggested before you go into stressful situations, but it helps calm high stress that you didn’t expect, too. For sadness and loneliness, I really like it blended with Bergamot. What an excellent combination! For irritation in babies and those terrible twos, mothers tend to diffuse it and love the results.
With our pre-diluted oils . . . if diluted for kids is the highest dilution you see, it’s also the max dilution possible. Pre-diluted oils are in jojoba.
