Tame the Beast

Every woman/teenage girl has periods in their life where we just need to simmer down. This blend is formulated to give a wonderful aroma to tame the savage beast. Dab a little on like perfume and command that beast to simmer down.

Made of Bergamot (Citrus Bergamia), USA Clary Sage (Salvia sclarea), Davana (Artemisia pallens) & Patchouli (Pogostemon cablin) essential oils with Rose absolute (Rose damascena)  in a base of Fractionated Coconut oil when diluted.

Aromasticks come in a base of Jojoba for longevity.

I love this blend. I use a drop on my wrist, then rub my wrists together. It is calming for me in many situations, not just “that time of the month.” I encourage you to try a sample and see if it helps you, too.

Tame the Beast Safety Info

According to Tisserand and Young, there is a risk of phototoxicity with expressed bergamot essential oil. Max dilution: 0.4%.  If it is used above the maximum dermal use guidelines, the area of application should not be exposed to UV rays for at least 24 hours after application.  Sensitivity is more likely with old or oxidized essential oils, so it should be stored in a dark, airtight container in your refrigerator.  Tame the Beast should still follow the safety guidelines below. ~ Source:  Tisserand, Robert and Young, Rodney. Essential Oil Safety: A Guide for Health Care Professionals: Churchill Livingstone; 2 edition (2013). Reading the full profile for each essential oil in Tame the Beast is highly suggested by your DeRu Staff.

While we’ve made this clear that we are selling this essential oil blend for use your diffuser, inhaler, or topically (diluted), it is a pure essential oil blend and can be used as such.  With all essential oil blends:

  • Never use them undiluted, in eyes or mucus membranes (this includes mouth, ear canals, noses, genital regions as well as internal areas).  The strength of essential oil blends can easily damage these soft tissue areas.
  • Do not take internally unless working with a qualified and expert practitioner.
    Keep away from children.
  • If applying an essential oil blend to your skin always perform a small patch test to an insensitive part of the body (after you have properly diluted the essential oil blend in an appropriate carrier).

  • Oral Safety is only given because many people have been told to take oils internally.  Because several people look to us for safety advice, we feel obligated to offer those safety statements, although we do not believe anyone should be ingesting extracts without being guided by an expert.  Experts will take your medical history into account before they suggest oils for you to ingest, diffuse, or use topically.
